Ed Speaks! New Guitar World Magazine!

Ed is interviewed in the new Guitar World.
In it he stresses a point that I've tried to make with the people who despise his tone and playing in the new tune AND at the dress rehearsal.

    Here's the caption:

As for people who think IAT isn't structured correctly , Ed's explanation can be summed up in this quote........

" I get easily bored playing the same thing, so I have given myself the freedom to change and play variations within the context of a song . Who made the rule that you have to play the same rythem part under every verse ? I'm not afraid to fall on my face . I think my ability has grown tenfold over what was on our early records , and it's because I care so much . I care so much that I don't care . It means so much to me that I allow myself to fail !"
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...

          C'mon guys....Even dave says, "Ed dosesn't suck...he just made a mistake."

I'm sorry. I'm not biased to take an Ed or Dave side. I love 'em both. They gave us some mother fucking great music...

          What is...WILL be...

I'll see Eddie with Sam, just as I'd see Dave with an unknown guitarist. I'd never pick and choose.

Give me some slack for being honest...

Ed doesn't suck. He just lost his compass. And Sammy is a piss-poor, soggy roadmap of a replacement.

Ed figures if he tells the world how much of a better guitarist he is now than he was then, maybe a fair # of people will by it.

I ain't shopping at that insane asylum...

I love Ed and I love Dave. I don't hate anyone who approves of one and not the other...

                              Personally, I can't be biased.
