Saw this at the Links:"Look for the boys to release Magic Carpet ride by Steppenwolf as a single. It was recorded several years ago and it rocks.

This would also be a nice time to release some old Video footage . The fact that Van Halen has yet to release any official footage from the early days aside from Don Kirshner is a bummer.

I dunno....any thoughts in case it's true? I'd just wonder if it is true whether or not Wolfie re-recorded the bass parts? Who knows?

There were rumors of them doing this song back in 2000. If they are going to release a single, I'd rather hear something other than a cover. However if they really did do this tune I'm sure it rocks.

This is a really old rumour, we were talking about this when the
Army first opened for business.. I guess where there's smoke
there might be some fire. Its a tune that you could imagine
them covering...
