Ed, wow.... this guy has always slammed Dave for who he is and ever since Dave has left ed has been trying to be like him. not hard to hate a guy who lies all the time. loser big time. but still to see the magic id go. its about the music so who cares if the rest of the band is dislike or not. im not gonna be hanging with those guys, just there to see the music and go home.

at this point though. ed has changed way to much and cant play or purposely playing a different style to kill any Classic VH hopes. I think he has accomplished that. it will never happen and Van Halen is done. eventually Van Hagar will be done too and it looks to be very soon.

Was psyched in 1996, hopeful in 2000. Now, it don't matter. Roth delivered shows over the last few years with two slamming guitarists and a rhythm section that approximates classic Van Halen just as good if not better than Ed and Al ever will/could.

Ed's just spent. Bout the only thing the sisters have to offer is permission/ co-authorization to release a classic box set. Otherwise, aint got no use for 'em.

First of all, the remaining members of the original lineup seem to be still very talented. Healthwise, although I truly wish them all (yes, even Sammy) the best of health, it seems to be taking a toll on Eddie.

The reason why we slam the remaining 3 members of the original lineup is that they've screwed us (the Roth fans) so many times that the term 'die-hard' no longer applies to them. There are no such things as 'Die Hard Van Halen Fans'. The VH fans are split into two groups - there are 'Die-Hard Roth Fans (which include classic Van Halen fans) and Homosexual Hagaritas (which include Van Hagar fans). And no, Cherone doesn't count because HE IS a Roth Fan.

Having met Gary, i gotta say the man is a class act all the way. He got into a situation that wasnt fair to him, but he knew that going in. He has great pipes, and is a helluva energetic frontman. He did the tunes justice, Dave-Era and Sammy-Era. They gelled quite a bit by the end of the tour. I wish the guy well.
