I had a completely different impression. It seemed brutally plain to me that Eddie didn't want to be there and wasn't happy. Frankly I thought Wolfee looked out of place and ridiculous up on stage with them and it struck me as rather pathetic, to tell the truth. They didn't look strong to me - they looked desperate. The whole thing to me stinks of desperation and I don't think it's going to fly.

To a degree, yes...even so, I didn't think it was a particularly awe inspiring return to the spotlight on anybody's account...I really think the only reason this is happening is because there's no other alternative, and Ed's trying to exert some form of control over the situation by not including Mike in it. Wolfgang in his place just looks ridiculous, I think.

I'd rather not see it happen under these circumstances, but...I'm used to Van Halen disappointing me over and over...

At this presser, he basically took over as spokesman as he did during CVH's heyday. Ed didn't seem like he was trying to control the proceedings whatsoever. Let's hope he concentrates on what he did best: play the guitar.
