    Exactly.

The Payday is mighty heavy for these guys, especially the way these 5 & 4 Star pkgs. are selling out...they know they can still have the fan audience and the only way they can make any $$$ in the industry the way it's changed. No stopping this unless the referenced scenarios that Plexi points out.

          Supply and demand.

I think they will HAVE to do the 25 shows, or they will be sued to hell.

I'm not saying that there will definately be anything after the dates announced, but they will have to get through those.

Oh I have no doubts that this is about $$$. I'm sure there is some nostalgia and genuine desire involved, but there is no doubt that money is the main motivation, at least from Ed and Alex.

I think they will really try to stick out the 2nd leg of the tour as well. The $$$ incentive is just too large and the venues they will play will rake in a huge check for each.

I'm hoping to hit the Vegas gig at Pearl when it's announced. That one itself will be exclusive and rumors are strong that they will perform there since the Malouf Bros are willing to pay some big buck to have VH at their new facility. This would be the largest headliner for them yet.

Maybe Wolfie and Janie will be the buffer between Ed and Roth throughout the tour...After all, if Ed's girlfriend has any influence on him, she stands to make more $$ than she's ever seen if they fulfill all 50 gigs.

I also think Wolfie gets a kick out of Roth's beligerant enthusiasm and I wouldn't be surprised if he already calls him "Uncle Dave".

Not only does Wolf carry the enormous task of carrying his end of the stage at sold out arenas with rabid Roth-era VH fans...he carries the extra burden in the form of bad vibes for somehow robbing Mike from his rightful spot. I guarantee you that if Ed did not have a son.

I'm sure Wolfie is up and wants to do it, since it's a big step in his life if he hopes to become a professional musician it's a French benefit having Eddie Van Halen as an father.

It's now or never for this tour, It's been 23 years of fighting and feuding, but putting it all aside for now.

All the members are in it for the $$$ even Dave is using it to get some money and get back in the spot light again, but what band isn't?, you know damn well the Stones and the police are.

I peronally don't think it's going to last, but lets enjoy it for now.

                        You "misunderestimate" the kid.

Both his parents grew up in the spotlight, although Ed not so young-about 21? But they're used to playing in front of heads since conception. I don't think the crowd will rattle the boy. He's been in the pubic eye before.

I'll say it again, if he's a Van Halen, chances are pretty fucking good he can play an instrument.
Wait and see how the first show goes before you start jabbing needles in your Wolfie doll.

                          Regarding the recent Eddie pics......

Alcohol has a lot of calories. If Ed has actually been sober for several months, that's a serious drop in calorie intake, which would cause him to lose weight. Possibly, it could have even freed up his liver to metabolize fat more efficiently, since it's not tied up with metabolizing alcohol.

I believe it was Dave (with or without help from Alex, hopefully with) who pulled the plug on the tour earlier this year, insisting that Eddie be up for the job. And if that's the case, I doubt seriously they would have gone through with this if Eddie had crawled back in the bottle.

But, as all you ex drunks and ex druggies on this board know, it's a "One Day at a Time" thing. And I ain't talking about Valerie's most famous TV role.

The tour will get off the ground, and probably finish the 25 dates.

If they do anything after that is a legitimate question.
