The music world, particularly the rock music world, needs Dave now more than ever. Some of those bands take themselves far too seriously and have lost sight of what rock n roll really was in the beginning. Let Dylan, Bono and Neil Young make social commentary.
There's no painting Dave into any corner-the dude covers lots of bases.That's why I've always been a fan of his-
Van Halen lost me at one point, but Dave never stopped being entertaining. He's a sound byte every time he speaks.

Kind of an interesting take on Marketing but I never viewed Dave as a great marketer. I viewed Dave as a great artist in the bohemian sense. In fact, I wish Dave was better at marketing. His website always sucked. He went long periods with no exposure. He got fired from a lot of big gigs because he didn't understand playing politics.
The guy is a great rock and roll icon but a medocre business man.
Sammy is the marketing guy. He just sold 80% of his Cabo Wabo tequila brand for $80 million. He still ownes a 20% cut and sales have gone through the roof since the new owner took over. Sammy has made some lucrativ real estate deals in the San Fransisco Bay Area. He owns sevral successful club bars.
Sam has made a lot of money marketing. More than Roth ever has. I bet right now Sam if probably worth $50-100 million. He has enough to lease his own Gulfstream Jet.
Not that I'm a Sammy fan in the artist realm but if I was looking for a business partner I would go with Sam over Roth. Sam understands business and is more boring. LOL! Roth is kind of all over the place.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment
