Just skimmed through some posts at the Sammy Hagar fansite aka VHLinks.

Seems the leader thinks the tour is off to no better start the the Van Hagar debacle and the head Sammy Asslicker - Van Squalen - is claiming Van Hagar sold out many 20k venues.

Let's look at the facts.

Yesterday, 7 shows went on sale and 3 sold out in minutes. The other 4 are very close if you look at what's available. They also added a Toronto show which Van Hagar did not.

In comparison, after their first two weeks on sale, Van Hagar had only sold out 1 show - Las Vegas - and cancelled their Richmond show.

We also know, that out of 50 shows that Billboard had on their list, only 4 sold out.

Van Hagar was the only band in the top 20 to have single digit sellouts.

In short:

Van Hagar - 50 dates, 4 sellouts.

Van Roth - 7 dates (plus 2 additions), 3 sellouts in minutes.

They are crying that Van Roth had a news conference and Hagar didn't. Yeah, they let the whole world know it WASN'T the original lineup and some 16 yo kid no one has ever heard will replace an original member - that's a big advantage? Yeah, right!

Looks like Sammy and Mike aren't anywhere near as important as Roth and a 16 yo unknown kid!

This is only the beginning folks, it's going to get a LOT better!

He also lives for the links. He is on there 24/7. For some reason the guy who runs that joint lets him get away with endless BS. Recently Van Squidiot banned himself from there and posted a whole farewell message. A week later he was back. What an attention whore! Actually, he is so sad that sometimes I feel sorry for him. What is just as sad over there are the few tools who actually worship this guy. They also think that Mike Anthony is God. It is killing them that Dave is back and that there is a lot of interest in Van Halen and the tour. Earlier in the year they were going on over there about how "The Other Half" would sell more tickets than Van Halen.

creative members of Van Halen.

Yet these idiots accepted every variation without the two
"Most Significant" band members.

Now they are back together and these dudes cant accept it ??

one thread in Main that literally was there to see if Van Hagar
actually sold out any shows.. I think the Emporer used to drop
in on that one.. I coined the phrase "Van Half-Assed" at the time
due to Sammy and an incoherent EVH heading that effort..
(Its ok, Brenty, you can use the term now, no worries !!)

The Sheep were in raptures, yet no shows were selling out..

Now, here we are, shows actually selling out in minutes.

True story, the day of the press conference, I watched it with one of my musician friends along with his thirteen year old son. Both were extatic. I then proceeded to show them BOTH The Army along with the links cos neither are as fanatical as myself. They were in utter shitshock reading that there's actually a fanbase for Van Hagar along with the preconceived notion that people actually believe that the bassplaying duties make a difference regarding the upcoming attendence. Fuck and outside of our fanbase. I challenge people to fucking name the band by name excluding EVH and DLR? Of course the occasional person will make fun of Hagar but nine out of ten don't even know who MA is.

Also, Van Halen is timeless whereas Van Hagar is not. That's a fact Jack!!! :D

DG said essentially the exact same thing when someone posted a snippet from that 2004 flop. It was a clip of EVH so wasted that he fell down during a performance all whilst Hag just watched and rubbed his gut.

When or was there EVER a press conference for that 2004 flop? Fuck and if there were, nobody paid one iota of attention to it. What's also astonishing about that fact is MA would've indeed been present, no? Anyone who doesn't think this tour will get legs and blow away the 04 trek is only fooling themselves. I think that once a few shows are under their collective belts, the buzz will grow and it will become an even hotter ticket. They've already added 2 shows and tickets haven't been on sale for even close to a week yet! People want the Mighty VH... no, they NEED the Mighty VH!!
