Will the Box set we been waiting for be released?

If Dave stays in VH, is there a chance they will release the Box Set with All of their Demos, covers, rare tracks from the early days, along with a DVD with Live rare concerts from club days to early 80’s.

They have bootlegs of these demos/covers, whole concerts on CD and DVD, why not remaster them and release it all in a box set?

I prefer a new album to mark the beginning of a new chapter, they've released 2 gretest hits packages and I don't think the third will be all that

It won't be an greatest hits album, I'm hoping for rare unreleased demos and covers remasted from the club and bar days like the bootlegs we have.

A new album would be nice though!

I don't think they will ever release the crop of tunes like Put out the Lights.

Lukather said they have an amazing album and are waiting for the singer. (a few years ago now)

We'd get new stuff before discarded ones from the early years , although I'd love for big trouble and No More Waiting to see the light of day.

Yeah, but Lukather's idea of "amazing" is Rosanna, for fucks sake.

I think Steve Lukather was referring to "It's About Time"...

A while back, I read somewhere that Ed doesn't like putting out unfinished or demo-type stuff. Supposedly he's the finished product type.

If Dave's open to putting out the cutting room floor stuff, demos, etc. then maybe some of this stuff will see the light of day. Getting this stuff out might also depend on how much pull Dave will have in the decision making department as well.

I think it would be good for the fans if Ed would release some of this stuff, the fans deserve this after the shit the VH brothers put us through.

I think Dave has alot of say on what goes on and some of the decision making, after all he did most of the talking at the press conf.

I think you’re right, I’m sad to say. What got me loving this band in 1979 was the harmony singing. I’m very curious to see if they can pull this off. Dave, Mike and Ed did some killer harmony singing in the studio. When they performed live, it was all Mike and Ed, with Dave scatting over everything. Mike’s no longer in the band and Ed’s tongue 1/4 gone, how are they gonna do it? Milli Vanilli here we come. What got me worrying is when Dave said this will be better than ever. Come on Dave, give me a break.
