I don't buy the "Getting Warmed Up" thing. Dave said they have been rehearsing for nearly a year now. Seeing as how they own their own studio they could have easily written and recorded a couple tunes in that period of time.

Now whether they have a label to release a new record under is another question and one I am not sure of. But they could self release their own album under their own label and sell just as many and keep all the profits. I am sure they have more than enough spare cash to market a new album. Hell, all they would have to do is post it on the van-halen.com site news and word of mouth would do the rest.

Hey, Aerosmith get 1/3 of Tokyo from Sony a few years back. Van Halen might be holding out the new stuff until they sell out a few arenas. Could be worth 100 milion bucks easy. Folks in the age group are still buying CDs too--just look at Country.
