you are half right, but If Mikey had the ability to play technical basslines spEd wouldn't have let him because Ed is all about himself. He wants no spotlight taken from him. Thats part of the reason he began to hate dave, so he got that guy from montrose to front his band, and why? Because ed said spam could allow him to play more diverse guitar parts.
