Deep down, Ed always knew Dave is the best man to front VH. His ego got in the way of bring Dave back all the other times. Plus his manager in '96 was pushing hard for Ga y thinking they could get over on the sheep again. It was a lot easier for Ed to boss Ga y around then have Dave taking charge.

All the band members are more mature and ready to try it out, I think deep down Eddie wants the spotlight/money and Dave is the only way to turn, since MC. Cheese ball didn't work and the tour would totally bomb if he got another singer other then Dave.

Wolfie actually wants to go out and play music too, so maybe he made the old man reunite him with the orignal singer.

If I remember correctly in the not too distant past EVH had made a comment in which he stated the he and Dave were finally friends unlike the years that they played together in which they were just in the same band. i would tend to believe also that the fact that Dave has been touring and sounding damn good had a little to do with it. Also, during the Dave and Spammy tour spammy went out of his way to bad mouth EVH while Dave pretty much took the high road. I sure money was a huge factor also.

Yes the tour is motivated by money.

But it doesn't explain why Ed can get along better with Dave now than he could in '96: if anything they would have made even more money then.

Probably a mixture of Wolfgang showing interest and Ed being bored that has resulted in him being able to make more of an effort...

in 96 ed said that if dave toured with vh they would have to close shop after 1 show...and that he would not want to short change the fans. due to too dave's voice or something....now all is better....daves voice has gotten better in 11 years????????
