With Dave the main thing is that the scream is not what it used to be, and as cool as that was, it ain't the only thing he had going. :D

I think a bigger question mark is EVH. If Ed has practiced and gotten his chops back then this speculation is over. I truly believe he is totally capable of playing anything that he used to play....IF he stays sober.

The kid....who knows how good he will be.

Alex....You know it is funny that no one has brought up the question of if Alex can still play as well as he could in the old days. With the spine problems and all, I wonder how much pain influences how he plays. Can he still play tunes like Hot For Teacher or any of the other fast boogie tunes without passing out? I want to say yes, especially after watching Ginger Baker play during the Cream reunion. Old Ginger has done more bad shit to his body than most rockers who are still breathing. :D Alex, with the exception of the back problems, is in fairly good shape and doesn't seem to have the substance abuse problems EVH has had.

Dave had a phenomenol voice back in the day. It amazes me when people say he did not. He was fucking beyond awesome. The scream is super human.

He sounds NOTHING like he used to sound. Dave quite literally does not sing anymore. Not a single note.

That said, maybe he has had some miraculous revival. We'll know soon enough.

Deny it all you want, those ARE classic hits.

The article also left out any mention of the great Roth/Becker duo in A 'Lil Aint Enough.

I thought I would never say this, but you are right! Dave better learn how to sing again, if he's doing his lame ass talk to the notes and make the songs completely different then this tour will be LAME! And that is assuming ED is on his game, which is also in doubt. And lets not forget the whole Wolfgang issue...

The only one who I KNOW will be on his game and sounding killer is Alex...that man always impreses me.

I have. He sounds like shit.

Maybe you need to revisit the 1980's boots. Dave himself said the performance is better than ever. If he's lying, he'll hear about it.

2006 is not even close to what he promised.
