Mtv usually has a surprise or 2 every year at the VMA's. Even with the 1996 fiasco, is it possible VH could play the VMA's? Amy Winehouse (man that chick is a wreck) cancelled so someone needs to fill that void.

Maybe they could have a rehab segment at the awards--since Amy didn't want to go, but Ed did. There could even be a special appearance by Chuck Norris doing a roundhouse in Sammy's face for encouraging alcoholism with his Cabo juice. -

Have you seen MTV lately.. Van Halen Fans are not their intended audiece... You'll see Brittany Spears, half naked and Lip Synching but No good music. MTV is crap nowadays.

I read somewhere that MTV execs recently sat down with some Recording Industry insiders/execs. Among things that the supposedly discussed was MTV re-inventing themselves by getting away from their current programming. Maybe they will be taking a few risks this year.Comment
