I wasn't a big fan of MWM and CGTSA. I heard all the elements that made classic VH great; a great riff, Michael's back-up vocals and Diamond Dave was back. But it didn't hit like Dance the Night Away does, a song I've heard thousands of times, and I'm still not tired of. I think the dishonesty of the 96 reunion is why I can't enjoy those two songs. This was never about getting back together with Dave, it was just away to promote a greatest hits that no real VH fan needs. That said those two songs blow the doors off Its About Time. That song doesn't even have a riff. A friend of mine said it sounded like Limp Bizkit. And he's a Sammy fan, but still good people.

Wrong!!!!! His greed for power fucked everything up. No wonder Dave will say "Edward" and "Michael" and only refer to Alex as "The Drummer!!!" Alex is to blame, The ONLY reason the new VAN HAGAR materialized is due to Alex having lunch with Spambo and telling Ed what to do.

With all due respect Max... Had you really read my reasons for not liking Dave much after his first solo gig your question about his image change would be self explanitory. However, let me expand on my original answer. I felt that Dave was stuck in the 80's and had basically become a VH coverband and that is why I lost interest. I could not see him being openminded enough to rejoin VH. I basically though Dave was a sell out. Keep in mind that this was after the 96 fiasco at which point I was all for the DLR VH reunion. So YES, based on the fact that he has taken some risks with his music... i.e. Diamond Dave and created a new updated image which IMO looks FABULOUS! I think he is ready to face the world again!

I have never denied being Bi-Halen. I think it is more acceptable for women to admit to liking the Sammy era. Whethere or not that's fair? I don't know. If you want a blunt answer about the new Van Hagar. Yes, I think it sux. I am less than impressed and it doesn't make me happy to say that.

As for Eddie. I admit it. I am an Edaholic! Disguted? Hell no. Disapointed? Yes...Worried? Hell Yes... At least he's getting back out there and trying. All I can do is be supportive and wish him well.
