Finish What You Started is weak even by Van Hagar standards (they had standards?) If they were to do a Van Hagar song, which I don't think they will, maybe Summer Nights.

"Finish What You Started" is the worest Van Hagar song of all time.

If they do any Van Hagar, they should do "Poundcake" or "Top of the World".

I would rather them do solo Roth than Van Hagar even though it would be intersting.

Remember, Dave refused Sam`s offer to perform together at the RAR HOF this year. Dave said that, Sam`s style was a whole different appproach to song writing than his. So will Dave eat his words and perform a Van Hagar song? I don`t think so!

Weird little Factoid...The Execs wanted to make the Song sound like A Robert Palmer wannabe type song...There was even a mix created for it for radio stations to test out...I have the mp3 for some weird reason..

They got 6 albums of perfect songs. Why in the world would they pollute that with any Hagar crap?

Even DLR solo, as good as it is, can't stand up to the six-pack.

Very true! Anything Van Hagar needs to be piled up and BURNED!

I would be crazy if I said “Eat Em’ and Smile” and Skyscraper was better than any other CVH albums. But they definitely can stand up next to them, because they were more Van Halen than Van Hagar’s albums ever were. Let me start with cover songs. Tobacco Road is just as good as any cover song that CVH recorded. The acoustic song Damn Good is just as good as Ice Cream man or Women and Children First. The crazy tunes like Two Fools a Minute and I’m Easy are probably better than Big Bad Bill or Happy Trails. I enjoy listening to the mellow songs like Ladies’ Nite in Buffalo and Hina just as much as I do Little Dreamer and Push Comes to Shove. After These next two you’ll think I’m crazy. The synthesizer songs like Stand Up and Just Like Paradise are better than Jump and I’ll Wait. And the technical assault of Shy Boy and Elephant Gun can shoot down Hot for Teacher. Pop-ish songs like Goin’ Crazy and Yankee Rose is Classic Van Halen Songs written by a different guitar player. Those songs belong somewhere on the classic 6. We are judging 6 great albums to 2 great albums so that’s not really fair. CVH gets my overall node by writing anthems we can sing along to like Runnin’ With the Devil, Everybody Wants Some and Dance the Night Away to name few. In my opinion EEAS and Skyscraper are way too underrated. Those 2 albums and the tours that followed were CVH. AND ALL OF THIS PROVES THAT DAVID LEE ROTH IS VAN HALEN PERIOD.

Just CVH stuff and there's plenty of it to choose from. Plus MWM and CGTSNM to throw into the mix. And maybe a preview of something new?

“Eat Em’ and Smile” ranks right up there with said "six-pack". On some days I even think it shines above them.

If Hagar and Dave was going to perform on stage together it would of happen in 2002 during the Dave/Sam tour.

I think it would turn into a fight on stage.

I can't see them doing Dave's solo stuff because then that would mean that the Van Halens might want to play some Van Hagar stuff. There is no way Dave would ever sing that shit.
