Tickets for several shows for Bruce Springsteen's tour went on sale this morning (I'm a huge Springsteen fan) and you can still get seats for all the shows currently available including opening night. On the other hand, VH's opening night is completely sold out unless you try and bid on any of the ridiculously priced TM auctions. I never thought I'd see the day VH (without the full original lineup no less) with no new music would easily outsell Bruce Springsteen who has priced his tickets much cheaper than VH and has the entire floor GA plus he has what sounds like an excellent new studio album coming out in less than a month.

Springsteen's politics were always there. He played the "No Nukes" concert in 1979. He's played Amnesty International benefit tours. And he laughed like Hell when Reagan tried to co-opt the message of "Born In The USA" without reading the actual lyrics first.

I've never had any doubts what side of the political fence he was on.

And he always puts on a kick ass concert.

Here's a little something I'm gonna pass on for free.......like a fart.

I rarely give someone shit about what bands they don't like no matter how craptacular I think said band may be. I figure if that person likes (in this case) Van Halen, they can't be a complete tin-eared, no musical taste mutherfuckin' douchebag. They got one redeeming point.

And really, it's all personal taste, right?

So when someone whines about a band or artist, they better be able to come up with some pretty impressive bands of their own and be ready to defend their tastes because when someone slams a Springsteen or a Nine Inch Nails or a Motorhead or whoever, they better not come back with "but I luv bands like Poison, Limp Bizcuit and Brittney Spears" because that's asking to get stamped out like a dead cigarette butt.
