The Official Anaheim, CA 12/18 Meetup/Review Thread

Live Nation has just added a show for December 12th, 2007 at the Anaheim Honda Center (aka The Pond) in Orange County, CA. This show along with the LA Staples show on 11/20 go on sale at 10pm Monday, Sept. 24th.

The Anaheim show may be the last date for the '07 leg of the tour unless a rumored Las Vegas show is announced in the next 2 weeks.

BTW, I fucked up and put 12/12 as the date of the Anaheim show in the text of my first post. It is 12/18.

Also, the Oakland, CA date falls after this show on 12/22 making it so far the last show of '07.

I agree. I would assume that the 2nd leg of the tour (should all go well with the 1st leg) will end with a huge "Homecoming" Show in Los Angeles as #50 !!!!! I'll be there, amongst the other shows of the 1st leg!!!

I had the 5 star Pond up twice and encountered Credit Card snafu and it was round 4-5 PST and by 5:30 4 & 5 were sold out. So looks like Fresno is gonna have to do for 5 star. Hell Monterey is 2 hrs from there so a visit to see the 5' Great White at the Monterey Bay Aquarium will be a priceless weekend ala perfect VH concert and one of CA most amazing coastlines Pebble Beach style.

Anaheim Club level will have to do for this show.

Just scored great seats and taking my kids for their first show.

Only fitting they see the best for a memory that will never be overshadowed in their lives.

Bout 10 feet from Ed off the floor so they are gonna be blown away and see what Dads never been able to put into words.

Tonight the Magic Kingdom Crowns VH. How can it keep getting better? Not just tighter but the magic and chemistry seem to becoming bulletproof like old days. Shows like San Diego Fresno and San Jose are showing more comraderie and intensity. Tonight is the FIRST time VH has officially played Orange County as headliners. The parachute show was not 'Top Bill'.

My kids are never gonna be the same...........

FWIW, Van Halen has headlined OC in Costa Mesa several times during the Hagar era.

BTW, while I didn't go to last night's show (I had 5th row for Staples opening night in Nov.) even though I was pulling up decent singles on TM right up to mid-day yesterday (and wasn't going to deal with scalpers at the arena in the rain last night), I heard it was another solid show with one exception.........

Appararently, Eddie got hit on the head by his guitar when his tech was trading off guitars midway through the show and he got pretty pissed at his tech and bitched him out several times through the remainder of the show.

Anyone catch the show and se this? The clods who saw last night over at VH Links are only whining about the usual crap - piped in vocals, no Mike, etc.

So as far as I'm concerned this was the 1st. Anyway what happened last night made LA seem like sleepy time.......

They took it off the rails to another level last night. By far best yet and best night my family has ever had at any event. The only bad part was there were many sheep, Apaco if you really love Sam stuff no offense but thats not VH.

Crowd was insane they stopped 2 songs in and Al came out and they all bowed absolutely frenzied-must go Thursday now.
