As a practicing bassist, at his age, based on what he's played in the clips we've seen so far, I'm not at all impressed, honestly...

                Sue me...

bassplayer wasn't that damn hard to play to begin with.

It's not HIS fault! He's got the lines and the voice...bassplayer isn't going to be missed all that much from the clips I was watching. Van Halen is and always has been about Dave and Eddie.

We won, Dave's back with Van Halen. Rejoice.

I very much agree with that...

I very much disagree. As stated, the lines don't mean much...the voice? Anybody's call on that yet...I haven't seen enough to judge for sure.

But Van Halen, while it may have been the Dave & Ed show to some, was a band first and foremost to me.

We won a half victory as far as I'm concerned.

It's better than nothing I guess, but...ehhh, what can you do?...you'd think I'd be getting used to having to bite the pillow from Ed by now...

I just turned my back when they turned on Dave and stuck by him and his music.

His shows always were fun no matter who was in the band, and he covered CVH better than Van Hagar and Gay Halen ever thought about doing.

Watching a clip on YouTube is a bit of a stretch because you can't hear very well when a song is being recorded on a cellphone, but the eyes don't lie...this looks like it going to be a fun show to see and I can't wait.

The doubters will become believers. The believers will be doing some shearing!

                      Van Hagar is DEAD!

Mike was happy that Wolfgang proved he had the chops via these rehearsal clips.
Now, he says, he can spend more time collecting Disney figurines.

                          How's his singing?

Can he eat and sing at the same time?

He's no Billy Sheehan or John Entwistle but the kid gets the job done. I liked Mike's bass tone and singing better. If anyone says the kid is better than Mike I'm going to fall out of my chair.
