If you've followed Dave, and actually were a "fan," you'd have heard Dave's mostly lousy efforts and poor discipline for the past ten years or so.

I'm no "Dave suck-dick" because I refused to go out of my way to see Dave solo because he rarely even tried to sing well for the whole show. Would I have seen Dave at the local fairgrounds or casino? Hell yeah! And I'd of had a great time. I even had tickets to the 2002 Sam & Dave thing, that was canceled. But I wasn't traveling and staying overnight and paying too much to hear him chant over his cover-band...

But his voice is clearly light years ahead of what it was five years ago. He's clearly singing and not talking, and he sounds relatively good overall, not perfect.
