No New Album - Just Best Of Both Worlds

Has anyone else considered for a moment that there may be no new album at all. Ive read a bit on the whole van halen owing albums from there old contract.

perhaps the only reason the ''best of both worlds'' is even happening is through a contract obligation!

Maybe there just touring to try and get more sales of the latest cd and therefore end there old contract.

plus make some retirement cash.

The whole Eddie saying ive got enough material for ten albums sounds pretty much bull to me, id be surprised if he had even picked up a guitar in the last couple of years up till three months ago..


oh yeah and sams tattoo............do you think when he was getting it done the tattooist had to stop every ten minutes to laugh at it.

judging by the picture below eddie is turning into a gnome.

If these three tracks are the best they can come up with, its a safe bet the album wont be forthcoming...

In fairness, I think they could do better.

These three songs were probably thrown together in a couple of weeks.

At least thats what they sound like.

Who would have thought that VHIII would sound like a rock masterpiece in comparison?

VH has no control on WB releasing a greatest hits. They are probably getting a few bucks for helping to promote it with 2-3 new songs.

WB is releasing the greatest hits to promote sales of the back catalogue. They do not need VH support or input to do this.

They don't even need VH under a CURRENT contract to do it and, I don't believe they do.

They are probably doing this to test the waters to see if it's actually gonna work.They want to make sure the brother's arent going to throw another singer out on his ass again.

what i find hilarious is that despite not wanting a nostalgia tour after BOV I, ed has gone around and now embraced the nostalgia concept.

VAN HALEN IS TRYING TO MAKE SOME EXTRA CASH I AGREE. I ALSO WILL SAY THE SONG COULD HAVE BEEN MORE PUT TOGETHER . POINT IS THE BAND DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE RECORD REALLY THEY WANT TO TOUR WITH HAGAR TILL HALL OF FAME TIME THEN I THINK THEY WILL BRING THE DIAMOND OUT. THEY BETTER DAM IT SAMMY WILL ALREADY HAVE HIS PLACE IN THERE WITH MONTROSE AND STUFF SO DAVE REALLY SHOULD BE THERE IN ALL FAIRNESS. I like them both but i clearly think the songs sammy wrote in these last months suck and the ones dave wrote for the best of vol 1 kicked ASS!!!! Thats just me though
