I can safely admit that I have always picked on Mike Anthony as far back as I can remember.

I even mentioned this to Brett on Links and he thought that was "wierd".

    LOL.

Seriously, I can remember back to watching old VH vids on how myself and my buddies always had a good chuckle watching Mike. We used to make fun of the guy on numerous occasions.

But we understood his place in the band, however, its not like he was worshipped. We didn't want to be Mike, I sure didn't. :D

Anyhow, I can understand some people's frustrations over Mike not being involved in this tour. Yeah, it sucks.

But IMO, as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't suck enough not to see the show.

yeah, Mike got fucked by Ed, then again, so what?? Mike aint my family member so I don't give a shit.

Oh and Ed is still a dick.
    :p

Dave apparently doesn't hate the bass player anymore. It's okay for the sheep here to follow suit now...

Who? Anthony? I sure as fuck don't. Do you?
Apparently you do. You keep acting that Mike chose Sam over the band when that's clearly not the case...

Oh dear, keeping track of the round rocker's finances are we now?

I didn't know you signed on with Fidelity? Congrats!!!
No. I just read the business pages, "mimbo."

I know, I know. So many words - make Max head hurt...:D

Nicky, I was just trying to push your collective buttons. I must say, which is far too easy to do nowadays.
Maybe if there weren't about fifty posters doing it?

K, you got me and are correct. However, you've been waving the Michael Anthony banner higher than most for the past few.
      "Past few" what? Weeks?

Actually, it's a Van Halen banner...

Then what exactly is "the point?"

MA sucks attempting to front VH material IMO.
I didn't watch much of it, and didn't make it that far.

But why does it even need to be posted?

I'm the one "following" Sam's finances or career? How about the people sniffing around YouTube for this shit?

Prolly the same people that hack-off to "When It's Love" live, shot in 1995...

K, that's just too much info and it goes on and on regarding a rather moot point.

I'll be the first to admit that you do have some extremely excellent points. However and unfortunately, they keep being overshadowed with your continuous complaining about this tour minus MA.

Regardless, I've always respected your opinion whether I agree with it or not and at the end of the day, you're a friend of mine on this board.

It's just your Pro-MA banter along with thinking VS is both a swell guy and should be welcome posting here happened to get on my nerves a bit.

Anyhoo, I see no need in prolonging this conversation. Not unless we're planning on knocking over a fruitstand later in the evening? :p :D
Dude, I actually don't come here to pick fights. I could give a shit about VS, he doesn't even post here except to fire back at the people that seem to want him too...

And my posts are really that "pro-MA?" Really? No, they're just anti-Edwad Van Asshole actually. Mike is probably the least offensive guy to some extent, yet people can't let the residual Van Hagar 2004 bashing go. Ed gets no free pass from me after 1996, even when he gleefully pats Dave on the ass and invites him back for a one-off nostalgia tour.

If you guys don't like Mike and look forward to seeing Wolfie this tour - well, good on'ya then! Have fun.

But I'm not letting the retarded statements and revisionist history go. Statements cock-gobblers such as "Green(p)uds" make like: "Mike is the reason Dave couldn't get back in Van Halen," Orelly? I guess AL and Ed sitting there in their little bitchy post-MTV Awards interviews with John Norris explaining basically that Dave was used to do two new songs, and that was it! don't count now, huh? Or "Mike said bad things about Dave." Orelly? No shit!! What was Ed saying for the first six months of 1986? It's okay for Dave to complain about his record deal and take it out on MA? Bullshit like "Mike chose to tour with Sam because Ed hates Sam." Gim'me a fucking break, man.

You guys want to justify why Ed is such a great guy now after most here slammed him repeatedly for years, fine. But at least give Mike the same courtesy...

Stop being a bunch of hypocritical two-faced pussy-bitches. Because Edwad will just break your little hearts again...

I don't think anyone is justifying why Ed is such a great guy nowadays.

I could care less. Ed is an ass and forever will be one. 1996 solidified that for me.

I just wanna hear him play guitar alongside Dave playing the classics that we all love so much.

That's about it. Even after all the shit that went down in '96, I was still able to listen to Fair Warning and say, "fuck, that rocks!!".

Mike was NEVER as important to me as Dave was/is as far as Van HALEN is concerned. Sure, he is a part of the CLASSIC lineup, but nothing more.

I've always felt like that, dating back to as far as I can remember.

So, Ed giving the shaft to Mike aint gonna make me as angry as him doing the same to Dave.

I just don't care for Mike as much.

Oh well. I guess I never wanted a JD bass guitar. :D

I will say this though: I'd be disapointed if we got the Dave reunion in '96 and Mike was fired back then.

I guess as time went on, the whole VH drama doesn't get me all bent out of shape as it once did, say ten years ago.

          Mike's disposable.

I'm sorry, but it had to be said.

Not if they're resorting to taped backing vocals...

I listened to a 1984 boot recently (Charlotte, NC), and they could've used some backing vox tracks on "Jamie's Cryn" 'cause that sounded crappy.

Then again, who cares whether they do (did?) or not.

Some singers use a teleprompter, some drummers use triggers.

              Who cares.

Those clips didn't sound like they were using any backing tracks, because they were off quite a few times. Flat here and there.

It's fair to say that Wolfgang is probably a better bassplayer than Anthony already, just based on the genepool. I can tell the talent got passed down.

If he can sing anywhere remotely close to what Anthony sounded like on past tours, he'll be OK.

ZZZZ... Oh sorry I fell asleep while watching that clip. Did he ever play a song????
Three time witness to the comeback of the MIGHTY VAN HALEN. And then they faded back into obscurity.
