A question about the Sam and Dave tour

I have never seen this talked about, but why on earth did Mike never play with Dave on the Sam and Dave tour? He played with Sam often. Why not Dave?

Was it him just wanting to play with Sam and not Dave for personal reasons? Did Dave just never ask him? It always struck me as really odd since he was in Van Halen with both those guys. I mean, the fans would have LOVED to have seen Mike (man I can't stand when people say Mikey) sing some old tunes with Dave again.

Ps. That was the only Roth tour I missed on purpose because I was afraid I would have to sit thru The Wobbler and his bitches.In order to see the reason I bought the ticket.

Yeah, I figured he might have offered. But (after thinking about it a bit) I also figured Dave is the kind of guy (which I like) that would not put his own bassist in a weird position of turning over his duties to someone else for a few songs. I mean, would he just stand over on the side of the stage during the songs? LOL.

I remember hearing a Howard Stern interview before the Sam and Dave tour started, the interview had both Sam and Dave, and Dave asked Sam if he was bringing Mike which Sam replied yeah and Dave told Sam he might be interested in playing on stage with Mike.

But fucked up as it sounds the al and ed stuff never bothered me. Just thought they were being dicks. But when Mike said it it kinda pissed me off.
I think its the hagar poddle thing. I fucking hate hagar and its hard to tell when hagar stops and Mike begins.
I hate he had so little back bone that he did the 2004 tour as a hired hand.
