These three tracks are a worthy successor to 1984

It's just clicked with me, these 3 Van Hagar tracks are a worthy successor to 1984. The only problem is that I mean 1984 the book, not 1984 the record. They're doing a damn fine job of creating a real life Orwellian musical nightmare. These are the tunes that would be played as you were wheeled in to Room 101 to be forced to sing along to When It's Love with all the sheep.

First of all you probably haven't even heard the new songs, so shut the hell up. Second of all, did you ever hear the new Dave songs that were added to the Best of Volume 1. He fuckin talks through the songs he doesn't sing. It sounds like something from the Wizard of Oz, which I am shocked that Dave has done an entire record of covers from the Wizard of Oz soundtrack.

Nothing any of you can say can change the fact that these new tracks are not up to the standards we expect.

As Alex had said previously, some of this music was written during a period when Ed was going through his cancer and maybe should have not been put down. It was therapy for them and maybe they are not up to what we expected(of course)but that is no reason for all these attacks because the underlying fact is that everyone is ticked because Dave isn't in the band. It would still never work because Dave still thinks he is on top when in reality he is only on top in his own little world. Don't get me wrong, he is the best frontman of all time and because of that he shouldn't have to "toot his own horn" about it. His confidensce is awesome but sometimes his cockiness seems to get in the way. Who knows, what if they did decide to reunite with Dave for that "one last run" and it is a flop?? What will be said then?? I hope it doesn't because the fans truly do deserve "the best of both worlds" (no pun intended) and I am referring to getting back with dave as well as Sam. Thanks for letting me be bitchy LOL

I dont really know the Van Hagar catalog apart from
the radio songs, 5150 and what was on BOV1.I actually was referring
to Van Halen, but I dont think these new songs even measure up to
the crap Ive heard from Van Hagar. Shit is about to happen.
Van Halen will fail, badly again. They need Dave more than ever.

Haven't you people been saying this since 1985. Millions of records later they still need him? NO
