    I knew somebody would do it, but I think my point's made nonetheless. All these guys are great frontmen, probably the best we've ever seen. and, no, their solo stuff isn't supposed to be as good as the real thing. it can't be.

    Dave's had some great musicians in his solo bands over the years, from vai and sheehan to ray and beyoung!! But, those dudes weren't missed at all Thursday night!!

          Good review for the most part, but it wouldn't be Rolling Stone if they didn't throw in at least one ridiculous Dave bash

          And as far as comparing Dave's solo career to Mick Jagger's, I'd have to agree. I'm the biggest Stones fan on this planet, but Mick's only done one truly great solo album, "Wandering Spirit". The other three have their moments, but it's mixed in with a lot of disposable crap.

          The only DLR album I'd call disposable for the most part is Skycrapper.
