    Sound quality of online videos

    After seeing the show in Greensboro last night I think it is important to mention that the internet videos being posted do not accurately reflect the live audio experience. Some of these videos sound horrible.

    I think it's great that they're being posted so quickly. Now everyone can see the highlight reel! But you would be making a big mistake to assume that the 2007 VH tour sounds like the online videos.

    From where I was sitting (mid-lower tier on Wolf's side) the sound was amazin'.

      After hearing a live boot from the Charlottel show I can agree 100% with that. Cell phone cameras and recorders can't reproduce that shit.

              We can hope a soundboard leaks out eventually.....

              Considering that soundboards of the VDIII tour and every shitty Van Hagar tour are readily available, there's no way in Hell that this tour goes off without a leaked soundboard or pro-shot video somewhere.

              Until then..... well, the Charlotte audience recording is easily better than half the shows still circulating from the old days, so I ain't complaining.

                          Well I posted this because not everyone cruising these forums is a pro audio guru...

                          I've been a recording artist for over 20 yearts and I was basing much of my initial pessimism on the audio I head from the rehearsal vids. Obviously I knew it was inferior quality, but the live audio experience itself is on a whole different level.
