Hrmm, I dunno if anyone noticed, but what the hell happened to Eds fan like tremolo picking? He used to to just fan his wrist and ripp of some hella crazy tremolo picking, but in that vid during the eruption solo on the tremolo picking parts his arm is all stiff and he is using his forearm to pik instead of bending at the wrist.

I know it sounds anal, but that was one was of the best things he did and now he doesn't do it any more. Wonder why he lost that technique?

But I have to say, that solo was fairly good considering where he was at in 04.

But one thing is for sure, ALEX still has the whole package. that man could play in any band in the world (Thrash, Jazz, Rock, Country, you name it) and OWN the hizzouse! I love that man.

Too bad Ed, isn't as dedicated.

All the health trouble this guy has been through, not to mention his age, and you're gonna whine about his lack of dedication and loss of technique? Give 'im a fuckin' break. That bent, held, highest note fanned tremolo picking he used to do for about 30 seconds (or more) was impossible for anyone else 20 years ago...it's not lack of dedication or loss of technique...it's probably carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis...all the dedication and practice in the world is useless if you're physically unable to pull it off...I'm impressed he's doing as well as he is...I bet the man aches everywhere when he crawls out of bed, every day...
