Here at the Roth Army we believe in fair and balanced reporting. It has now been four days since the 2004 Van Halen Tour opening concert at Greensboro, North Carolina. on June 11, 2004. One of the greatest rock bands of all times, which includes 3 of its 4 original founding members, took the stage again after an eight year absence!

Unfortunately, the real Van Halen is now only a distant memory. Obviously, the public feels the same way.

In desperation, Van Halen members, along with their Management, report Concert venue attendance at almost double, the actual third-party verified attendance numbers. Further, at the time and date of this memo, there has not been ONE newspaper article, concert review, or television report, noted in the entire United States, regarding Van Halen’s newly commenced Tour.

Ya know, I have been one of the most outspoken critics of Eddie Van Halen here at the Roth Army. My reasons have been well articulated and validated in posts on this Forum.

That said, there are some awesome pics of Eddie performing last weekend that I just added. He was one sore MF the next morning, after doping up the night before and doing a number of on-stage EVH patented flying kicks. But the paid attendance numbers are so bad, the band and promoters are having to do everything possible to try and generate interest in this Tour. I say the damn guy needs to go for it, he’s not going to get another chance!

This Tour is the biggest fraud ridden mess I have EVER seem. Dave needs to keep smoozing with the NY hot checks with mountains of cash and keep acting like he has never heard of Van Halen! Trust me.

I will post on this subject tonight, in our sticky thread. I need to get it out of my system anyway it has got me so mad!

edd can still play if you have heard any of the bootleg live stuff from the last couple of nights you would see that. i reakon if, and that is an if he makes it to the end of the tour he will be playing as weel as he ever could. hes probably just a little rough from nerves and whatever else he induldges in before he goes on.

sam is shite, but put eddie on dolly parton and you would probably get the same show turn out. people that go to see van hagar are guitar players and there girlfriends.

they dont give a rats ass about sammy, they probably go to the bar or toilet during the drum and the bass solo.

edd's the atraction, if roth was on board there would have been more sales not because it was better but because of nostalgia and curiosity.

Good post, thanks....got some great points, wish I could get others here to understand several of them. If they did they would get laid more often.. LOL
