I really think he is grasping for different things to play or do. Wrists I think are bothering him sometimes but I truly believe he is bored with the same shit so alot of improv is coming out which is good and bad at times.

Yeah, I can agree with that.. but it's unfortunate that his improv now has turned to garbage... Eddie used to be the king of 'turning it on'.. now we get feedback.

Np I diagree with you VAin, I like how he brings in some Who or a few shows with the drumstick or now the drill. It means he is thinking sbout doing things different so the solo isn't the same thing every night but still having to keep alot of the material in there so the avg fan can relate......

This is like being pissed off that Michael Jordan shot jumpers late in his career instead of flying through the lane and dunking on everyone. We can either enjoy what he has and can give today, or stay home and watch videos from 1978. It is a fact of life, he's older and is doing what he can. I am huge Michael Anthony fan, but maybe it did take new life from Wolfie, and DLR, to energize them to get back out there. But even enthusiam and energy can't overcome age. He may reach into the bag of tricks a night here or there but to consistently perform like 1978 in 2008, is a tough one, even for the mighty VH.

Personally I think at times (especially when he's alone on stage) his confidence might fail him a little and he just freezes up. I honestly think that some of the licks he used to do live, scare him into not fully attempting them now.
