Revolver is the sister publication to the almighty Guitar World, though it's sort of a tween metal rag & less interesting.
In the new issue they have some current death metal vocalist interview Hagar, and the head Waborita dishes on the current state of VH.
Hag basically slams Ed (again) calling him dysfunctional & deranged (kinda sorta...)
He claims the only reason EVH is still breathing is due to his brother, Alex. Sam says Ed would be dead without Al's guidance.
He mentions not seeing the tour, but watching the youtube vids (just like the rest of us, i guess).
Sam seems to take delight in the screw-up of 'Jump' a while back, saying Ed should have transposed the riff to the proper key instead of playing it the way he did.
Sam also goes into detail about the Alien abductions, which always seems to come up.
Something that struck me was that the interviewer, the singer from All that Remains (i believe), practically salivates over his hero Hagar.
He goes on record as saying the Sammy era is, without doubt, the best version of VH.
I neraly choked on my cornflakes!
You'd think some metal screamer would have more affection for the raw spontanaeity that was the original band, instead of the sackless, dump inducing version of mach II.
I don't get it.
