I`ll point out the fact, that it was not revealed until a 2006 intereview with Fat Mullet, that he only played on 3 tracks of 1998`s Van Halen 3 album, and did not play on the new cuts on best of both worlds.
Nobody noticed his absense on those tracks when they were originally released.

Well, people keep confusing the issue by saying that somehow Mike's old vocals are being piped in --- something I highly doubt.
Wolfie is singing, but he and Ed are singing along to multiple taped Wolfies and Eds...
It wouldn't be surprising. Piping in backing tracks for vocals and instrumentation during live performances became the thing to do for a lot of rock bands during the 70s and still continues today...it's a lot more common than you might think...

I did. I bought Van Halen III used at a pawn shop about a week after it's release and immediately thought two things:
