Reno added to Van Halen tour



As soon as Van Halen resumes its spring tour, following a sidelined Eddie Van Halen under a doctor's care this month, the band will be in Reno for a super-short-notice show on April 17 at the Reno Events Center.

It's being called something of a warm-up show by promoter Live Nation, but since the band was already on tour last year, Eddie, David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen (filling in on bass for the not-invited-back Michael Anthony) will probably be in the best form that they can deliver these days.

The David Lee Roth-fronted reunion tour did get positive fan and press response for the most part (especially if you want to see a 50-something Roth strut around in leather pants), with Rolling Stone declaring "For more than two hours, the gods delivered..."

At the very least, I'm hoping that the "band" as a unit has been communicating, not just using an over paid
management team.


I'm also hoping they were honing their skills, collectively.

He's prob talking to Sammy and Michael. Discussing Dave's "antics" or concern for Ed. Maybe the "OTHER HALF" is touring with them later in the year?!

At least Dave has been seen and spoken to. He looked good.

Roth's dressing room is far from theirs?

I think Ed's breakdown was his "personal challenge" for doing his craft- sober. The fuck ups or the guitar tech guy, or the sound crew- it all got to him. Maybe he fought with his son?
It doesn't really mater, because after this tour they can work on some NEW material.

Just make records and tour less.

Its a no-brainer.
