Reno added to Van Halen tour
As soon as Van Halen resumes its spring tour, following a sidelined Eddie Van Halen under a doctor's care this month, the band will be in Reno for a super-short-notice show on April 17 at the Reno Events Center.
It's being called something of a warm-up show by promoter Live Nation, but since the band was already on tour last year, Eddie, David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen (filling in on bass for the not-invited-back Michael Anthony) will probably be in the best form that they can deliver these days.
The David Lee Roth-fronted reunion tour did get positive fan and press response for the most part (especially if you want to see a 50-something Roth strut around in leather pants), with Rolling Stone declaring "For more than two hours, the gods delivered..."
