On April 3, 1979, the Recording Industry of America issued the Platinum record award to Van Halen and Warner Bros. Records for selling 1,000,000 units of their Van Halen II record in the United States. This award is the actual award that given to Warner Bros. Records back in 1979, and was on display at their offices in Hollywood for several years. During this era, all of the Gold and Platinum Awards were made by the New York Frame & Picture Company exclusively for the RIAA. Obviously, Eddie Van Halen and the rest of the band have been a big musical influence on me, regarding their David Lee Roth era music. Here's a link to my Van Halen Music Influence page.

What you are getting is a fake, if you had read the link to the RIAA website you would have known this.

Not trying to bust your balls, just trying to let you know that there are loads of those companies that you are dealing with all over ebay selling fake awards.

The RIAA awards are cheaply made, I been to a couple studio's, and I could of made them, no joke. No, this is not a RIAA award.....this is better quality, and will be worth more money in the long run. Did you read the website I bought it from??

RIAA sucks, why would I buy anything from those fucks? They might sue me!!!

Paying $425.00 for a fake award is just crazy!

I see on their website that they have a Diver Down & WACF award, once you have bought those i'm sure they will make you a VH2 & 1984 award.
