What Roth/VH shows have you seen live?

Let's get this shit back on the road and so we can be bumpin' thunder instead of talking about Spam, Wino, Neckbrace-multiple-alimony-checkwriter and the other guy.

I know some are younger and some are older, so let's share our shows?

I was fortunate to see The Mighty Van Halen on the '84 tour. It was incredible and my first concert ever. I was thirteen and my dad scored front row tickets. The show sold out in a record 40 minutes in SLC. I dunno if the record still holds but it was incredible and I still have my stub.

    I've also seen Dave in '86, 88 and '94.

I'll go into detail about the shows if this thread flies.

    Roth and Roll my bruthas!!!!

I also have seen Van Hagar in '86, 88 and half of their show in '93. My brother got us our tix for free and we still fucking walked out!!! LOL!!!! :D

You see you lucky fuckers? You and EVH FANATIC should not be brawling!!!!!

Both of you were fortunate to catch THE MIGHTY VAN HALEN in '82 on the HIDE YOUR SHEEP tour!!!!

*DISCLAIMER AND NOTE TO HAGAR FANS*

The '82 Tour's title "HIDE YOUR SHEEP" and how they were announced at the time "THE MIGHTY VAN HALEN!!!" has absolutely ZERO to do with what you call van halen!!!!

You have no idea. So please shutup and do that "It's 5150 Time along with the gay dance!!!" that you do and keep that one as your resident motto.

There is a reason you are called sheep, there is a reason why "THE MIGHTY" does not belong to your version and there is a reason that we have no fucking idea what 5150 time means.

        Guwapo-rocker,

I also saw the 1984 Toronto MLG and "SKYSCRAPER" Toronto MFG shows!

Had a great time at both although missing the "EEAS" T.O. gig was pretty painful at the time. Still is, actually!

The bootleg video from the Toronto "SKYSCRAPER" show is shot from a very similar vantage point as where my seats were. I audio taped the show and am trying desperately to find the tapes! Seem to remember a few points in the show missing from the video that I got on tape (nothing huge just some minor edits between songs).

        Keep rockin'!

I saw Van Halen live at the old Charlotte Coliseum in NC on 2/1/84 with Autograph as the opening act which is one of the greatest concert experiences of my youth speaking as a 40 year old VH/DLR era fan since it was one of the coldest days of winter with my fingers getting numb waiting for the arena doors to open then Van Halen kicked out the jams giving their fans what they payed for with Eddie's guitar virtuosity & Dave's showmanship & bad ass attitude while VH's 84 tour is one of the last rock & roll tours of its kind celebrating sex, drugs & rock & roll in maximum overdrive!

            VH "Fair Warning" Tour '81
VH "Diver Down/Hide Your Sheep" Tour '82
            VH "1984" Tour '84
            DLR "EEAS" Tour '86
            DLR "Skyscraper" Tour '88
            DLR "Diamond Dave" Tour '03

I'd also like to add that '84 was my least fave of the Dave fronted VH tours.

Diver Down was the best. Nothing has or ever will top that tour.

I've also seen Van Halen with Sammy 3 times:

            "5150" Tour '86
            "F.U.C.K." Tour '91
            "Balance" Tour '95

And I have tickets for this tour as well.

I saw 1984 and the EEAS tour in Lakeland, Fl...and I have seen Dave live at Janus Landing in St. Pete Florida, Omaha, NE, and St. Pete Time Forum with Sammy....I walked out after two songs in the Sammy set...Dave played first....

I also vividly remember seeing the 5150 tour with BTO opening...I walked out of the show 3 songs into the VH set because I was so devastated with Sammy being the front man...he sucked SO bad live and his singing was so flat it was pathetic....

This is an honest to God post.....

VH is NOT the same with Sammy...sorry sheep....
