Frankly, and probably not surprisingly, I don't think Ed had ANY motivation behind really making some good music.... Although it wasn't "Fair Warning Tour" worthy, I think it was pretty apparent that Ed put a lot of effort into getting ready for the tour.... I sure would like to think that having Dave back in the loop, with a new tour in mind, would provide some extra motivation that frankly he hasn't had in a long time...
The only thing that motivates Eddie is cigarettes. He can't even snuff it out for a 5 minute CNN interview.

There are at least 3 complete 1983 South American shows (which are SMOKIN), 1980, 81, 82 and 1984(I think) from the Largo Center. That right there will easily complete your 10 albums.

Dave, Wolfie, Alex and I are a band say it for me guys, there is no gray area
unless Dave comes out & says he's not interested..he's not a sloucher when
things go sour & for Ed to come out & say that line is a statement in itself for
him. He's always been hidden on band members/feelings since 1996.

Im not making anything different & theres no reason to look into it, when the time comes (fall area) the cd may be ready from what i got out of that read.

Anyway, the Gibson line was a mistake that Spinner made...

Kinda like saying Dave instead of Sam...

I guess we shouldn't hold or breath or anything. I love both the 96 tune's !! Dave did sound a little brittle but so what, His voice next to Ed's guitar on a good c.d. could be just what the doctor ordered !! (No pun intended) to really restore their image as one of the greatest duo's ever. Time will tell. But it does make me think about the fact it my suck !!

                It won't suck.

It will be better than $14 (in 1998) coaster that is VHIII. It will be better than the pile of dogshit known as "Diamond Dave." It will crush anything the Ched Head has done since he left VH the first time.

VH are not a hungry band anymore.

Their motivation is not what it once was. They are too goddamn rich to be "hungry" in that sense anyway.

And they may have nothing left to prove other than proving if they can make new, great music with Dave again after all these years.

Is Eddie still capable of composing cool shit? Or is his brain just too fried to do so?

How much patience will Dave have with Eddie in the studio? We know, historically, how Dave doesn't like to spend too much time making an album.

Dave would rather be on stage than in a studio for months.

It will be interesting if anything transpires.

Consider someone else writing some Van Halen-ish tunes for Edward, as bands like Aerosmith and others have done in the past...

                              Hmmm...
