Most successful (dollars & sell out wise) tour of VH history. Rave reviews from the average fan, newspapers, magazines, etc... Actually still getting along at the tours end. Nearly a year after the tour ended still no harsh words from either side about the other. Sounds to me like they got it a lot more right than the previous two tours. Maybe not a home run, but I'd rule it a solid double with a chance at 3rd.

Van Halen would have never been the Van Halen from the 80's if Mike was there or not !!! Would it be nice if Mike was there ?? Sure, But It will never be the same band from 20 years ago with or without him !! I'll take the new band over anything Dave would have come up with on his own because at least it will be rock music with a still pretty good guitar player. A new VH disc should earn the band some respect back for their cd catolog if it's good I would think. I do worry about it taking away from the 6 pack legacy but what the fuck you only live once !!! I say go for it.

Yeah, there were rumours on this forum, before the 2007 tour began, that, finish what Ya started, would be in the set list. It would be the only Van Hagar tune.
I think it was another way to humiliate Dave, by Ed and Al forcing him to practice a Hagar track! Poor Dave, talk about rubbing Dave`s nose in the dirt!
