OK, guys, you gotta give a little credit where credit is due...
whatever she's doing...it's working.
She helped make the reunion tour happen,
and she's doing a hell of a job on the P.R. for the new guitars..
Fucking CNN is running a cover story on Ed?
Who would have EVER thought that possible again?
Not just some music site like Blabbermouth, or MelodiCrock,
but CNfrigginN
You go to the show biz section, there's Ed's smilin' face, right in front.
Hell he was on CNN on tv, even!
When was the last time a new Gibson Les Paul line or Strat line was on CNN??
..and those are aguably the two most commercially succesful electric guitars ever!
She cleaned the man up (even got him a new grill!)
He's giving good solid interviews, talks about the gear,yeah,
but answers the REAL question on everyone's mind, too...
She helped get him and the band in a GREAT position to be back on top,
where they should be, if they just do what they do best,
and make a great album...
The tour was good, but unless they want to be the next KI$$,
they gotta make a new cd.
Whether they can do it with Junior instead of Mikey Golden-Throat remains to be seen,
but I give him credit for sticking the entire tour out like a man,
instead of caving into teenage whatEVER and bailing out.
and if he can't make the signature harmony that Mikey did,
just hire Lukather for some vocal session work,
add Dave Al & Ed, and VOILA, the VH sound.
As a VH fan, I gotta give props to Janie-
she's earning her spot on Howdy Doody Hill,
and earning her stripes in my book.
