I have the hardest time just rating the VH albums. But I think EEAS is as good as any VH album. I'll take a stab at it:
Fair Warning
WACF
EEAS
1984
VH I
VH II (god this is hard to do with Beautiful Girls and DTNA)
Diver Down
Crap, this is hard, i mean, when I put VH I and VH II as the 5th and 6th best albums, keep in mind, they are both in the 10 best albums of all time from ANY band

I wont even bother rating....EEAS is a fun record...great playing....but it was truthfully Van Halen Jr. It doesnt even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as any VH album. And as for the tour off that record......well....let's just say for having the caliber of musicians he had.....it was a sloppy mess overall. Especially the VH tunes.....god-awful.
I think the first three is easy, nr 4-6 could go either way the all have brilliant songs but also some that don´t blow me away. Diver Down is to me the most uneven, uneven is that correct english???
I saw EEAS and have boots of it...Vai plays Ed's shit better than Ed plays it now...
EEAS in my opinion is EXACTLY why I say Dave is more classic VH than the other three...
Dave pulls off the attitude and vibe that made VH....he proves he is more of the mighty VH than any other...IMHO....
Ed is NOT God by any stretch of the imagination....
Nope, way off bro. I saw EEAS as well...and have more than a few boots of that tour....a good 80% of the time the VH tunes sounded shitty. Vai butchered those songs. He played his stuff fine, but the VH tunes were a disgrace. He did the same injustice to Yngwie's stuff with Alcatraz on tour....and his covers of John Sykes's work in Whitesnake was also very lackluster. I like Vai, but the guy cant play other people's tunes for shit.. And before you say it, i dont count G3...i mean, how many times have they covered Jimi? They just do those tunes as a jam anyway. And, as stated before, like him or not....and not on speed terms only, Yngwie played with more fire and alot cleaner overall at the G3's i went to.
