Met Ron Wikso Once

I met Ron Wikso (Dave's drummer for YFLM Tour) and got to talk to him about DLR back around 97'. He said he had the most fun of his career playing with Dave. Said the band would rehearse sometimes at Dave's house and they always had a blast. He told me Dave was highly intelligent and very well read, different than what many people's perception of him is. He also echoed Greg Bissonette's comments (when I saw Bissonette at P.I.T.) about Dave being very laid back with his musicians and giving them plenty of room to work with the songs in bringing their style to the music. Dave gets a lot of critisicm for being an egomaniac but Wikso had no reason to lie to me (he had been out of the group for years at that point). Dave is a much better person than he gets credit for. Not to mention the only singer for VH that really matters historically.

Mezro...I told Ron that I have a pocket fisherman in my pants complete with two bobbers...he just looked at me in horror
