    ED's Solos

    I don't know if this has been answered before but why for all these yrs Ed solo's never really changed same with Al?

    It was more creativity & improv during the actual songs!

      I'm of the opinion that Ed went into auto-pilot around 86... He lacks direction, which is what I expect Dave to give him if/when they make an album

          Yeah. Eruption, Cathedral, etc... Great stuff, but wouldn't mind something on a new album that was of the same caliber.

              Agreed...

              There's always been about 98% of the VH live show scripted going back to the club days and stuck to it. Ed got lazy and found it easier to just give em the same old solo. Actually that's what majority of the music industry does...
