2009 staduim tour with GnR?

I have no desire to see William "Axl" Rose and his self tribute band. I would show up late as to miss them. I walked out on them when they toured with Metallica back in, what '94? It was at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Axl started his bullshit routine and at the time started several riots at the shows so I just left. Didn't need to be a part of that. They came on last so I already saw Faith No More and Metallica, half of Guns set was enough

This rumor surfaced back in early March via RollingStone.com... the only linkage is both VH & GnR are managed by Irving Azoff. Since then GnR hired another new guitar player and were allegedly rehearsing for a tour back in April...

Meanwhile back on Howdy Doody Mountain... Ed is busy coordinating striped centerpieces and seating arrangements for his wedding reception. Wolfgang is preparing a pair of striped patent shoes for his big prom date. Reverand Al has finally caught up on all his Oprah and Daytime Soap Opera viewing that he missed during the 07/08 tour. Diamond David Lee Roth remains locked up in a secret bunker with a red/white/black gag permanently surgically attached to his mouth and Ed's custom striped leash firmly attached to his balls.

Axl Rose intends to take the current lineup of Guns N’ Roses out on a worldwide stadium tour this summer, industry insiders told RollingStone.com.

“Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years,” said Guns manager Irving Azoff in the news item. “People think they know him, but they really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. He is a good guy and often misunderstood—he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns N’ Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for GNR, I’m looking forward to it.”

Right on the heels of this news come unconfirmed reports about a co-headlining tour with GNR and fellow L.A. hard-rock icons Van Halen. If this pairing comes to pass, we’re betting it’ll move some serious ducats.

With Axhole's record for not showing up or coming to concerts late, they would be the last band I'd want to see with Van Halen. Really, if the boys can pull off a decent album, they don't need an act like GnR, they'll be able to do a tour like the last one, easily.

I agree. I can not see Dave tolerating Axl at all. And like kwame said they don't need to.

I am hoping that VH gets their shit together and puts out new music because with the economy the way it is, many people will only go to a few shows per year. Seeing as VH already did the "I heard you missed us..." thing, they need to put out before the next tour. The GNR tour could be competition for them if they don't.

First of all, Dave has been "slaughtered" by no one. He looks mint.

I think he got some work done, but he had it done by someone who knew what the fuck they were doing. He doesn't look like his face is fake, and he still looks like Dave.

Axl looks like a completely different person. And WTF happened to his eye lashes. Did he pluck them out one by one during one of his temper tantrums?

Dave did not look well in 1996, but that is the only time I can say that in all honesty. He looked like he was in a fucked up place in his life.

I had no problem with the way he looked in the late 1990's- early 2000's. There are some bad pics, but all in all he looked like a guy who had partied his ass off for 30+ years. Surprise!! He looked strong physically and had that "who gives a fuck?" attitude that I dig.

How did Axl look during that time? We'll never know cos the bitch was in hiding. LOL.

This band with Axl Rose calling themselves Guns & Roses has not earned a stadium tour. One mediocre album with years of hype does not make you a headliner. Now, the old band he was in could & should do it, but not this current Scrubs & Roses.

Because GNR sold more than VH. So did Van Hagar.. both Sammy and Irving Azoff say so.
