Report on last night's (6/23) Meadowlands show

My friend went last night to the VH show.

The first thing she told me was that Sam was no Dave (especially on Panama). The mood was very reserved compared to the old shows she went to. She does like some of the Sammy-era songs (they are more chick-oriented anyway) and overall they gave a solid performance.

Eddie’s solo was great. Wolfgang made an appearance (how stupid). The encore was Jump, Panama, and When it’s Love.


By the way, the entire 200 level was empty. So about half of the non-floor seats were empty.

I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with:

I can't imagine them getting more than one date in the NYC area, if that, in the future. They would have to get another headliner, or a new singer. Maybe they can be the next band to do that new reality show where INXS is going to find a new lead singer since they have so much of a problem with Dave.

And this is a reunion tour! Kiss sold out the garden at least 3 times on their reunion tour.

Kiss sold out the Garden 4 times on the reunion tour. This summer's Kiss tour is doing better than Van Hager's, and Kiss is a tribute band to themselves at this point.
