The Slawterhouse site was owned by Michael Migliozzi and Kendall Johnson a.k.a."The Keepers" a.k.a. "2 Guys Who Do Ads Inc.", who also did the artwork for the DLR Band CD, and are credited as such.

There were rumors going around that Stern himself was bankrolling the website, but obviously this turned out to be false.

...and for the record, I got my copy of BOV 1 used for $5. Which is a reasonable price for the first 2 Van HALEN songs in 11 years. And the morbid curiosity about the fucked up mix of RWTD.

Somehow they spliced the solo and the third verse after the first verse and then put the second verse after the third, cutting in right in the middle of Dave's screaming final chorus where Alex is hitting the cymbals, then returning to that end part after the "god damn the navy and all you lifers"* bit.

It's really fucked up. And I'll be damned if some fool didn't put it on YouTube, albeit in less than pristine quality, but you can still hear the edits from a mile away....
