The way I saw it was that Dave was wanting to get back in the studio and the drunken brothers just sat at home...

The Top 100 Hard Rock Songs thing they did months ago showed clips of "RWTD" from the show (with the audio I believe--the edited version, that is).

The VH1 Classic US Fest Day 1 program was pretty decent; suppose it's nice to have anything finally released in an official capacity, since the only other thing one can legally buy was the Triumph full set of 1983. Frankly, VH1 Classic could have fit several more songs in if they had cut back on interviewing Mark Goodman a bit. I mean, if only an hours worth of airtime was gonna be devoted to it (which was just over 50 minutes of actual program time), why waste ten minutes showing Mark Goodman blathering on about how glad he was that the English Beat played that day?

            Check this out from MelodicRock.com - MRCD5 - Pre-Order Now!

            US FESTIVAL 83 TO DVD:
It seems there is a compilation DVD in the works celebrating the legendary US Festival 1983, which featured bands like Motley Crue, Scorpions, U2, Van Halen and Triumph - the performances from which have been bootlegged for years.

Details are a little sketchy at the moment. I have only picked up on a Japanese release date, but I guess it is bound to be a worldwide release eventually.

Right now King Records Japan will release US Festival 1983 on September 9.
Running 120 minutes, the DVD track list will apparently be: The One Thing - Inxs; The Boys In Town - Divinyls; Goodbye Goodbye - Oingo Boing; Jeanette - English Beat; Words - Missing Persons; Rock This Town, Please Make Up Your Mind - Stray Cats; Who Can It Be Now, It's A Mistake - Men At Work; Should I Stay Or Should I Go - The Clash; Breakin' The Law, Another Thing Coming - Judas Priest; Fight The Good Fight, Lay It On The Line, Magic Power - Triumph; Sex - Berlin; Outside The Rain, Standback - Stevie Nicks; Electric Company, Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2; You Really Got Me, Pretty Woman, Happy Trails - Van Halen; The Zoo - Scorpions; You Can Run - Flock Of Seagulls; Ohio - Pretenders; Life In The Fast Lane - Joe Walsh; Metal Health, Cum On Feel The Noise - Quiet Riot.

Special Features are listed as: bonus tracks - "Fight the Good Fight, World of Fantasy (Triumph)," Can't Get Enough (Scorpions)".

            Stay tuned for any updates.

Triumph's appearance at the festival has already been released on DVD by the band independently.

Since most of those bands are now defunct, I sense whatever entity is involved got them for a steal.

And since VH doesn't OWN any of THOSE songs....

I say this because of all the losers who say anyone can play RWTD...idiots...

I love the shots from the back of the stage forward where you can see the crowd. Every time I've been lucky enough to be in the first few rows at a concert, I've turned around at one point or another during the show to see what the band sees. Very cool to see 15,000 people looking in your direction. The US Fest had like 250,000....crazy.

I got a good copy of US Fest 83 off of BT Junkie.
I then fixed it up with Nero 9 and put it to DVD.
It's a dood copy and better than VHS any day.
