                                                            Not that I disagree with that last statement Sheep, but I'm not sure that Sarge is technically a "commissioned" Officer.....

                                                            If you've been around long enough, you'll remember Sarge as a "Sarge".... Then I believe he was selected in the Army's equivalent of what the Navy calls the Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program, or MECP...

                                                            I know, I'm splitting hairs, but for us military folks, a straight-up "commissioned officer" is either an Academy grad, or someone who joined the military straight from college...

                                                            Then you have Limited Duty Officers (LDO's), who get promoted from Enlisted E-6 and above, and Chief Warrant Officers (CWO's), who get promoted from Enlisted E-7 and above.... There's also Officer Candidate School (OCS)....

                                                            Lemme put it this way, the officers DEFINITELY know the difference between themselves... It's all ego-driven....
