        I posted this ages ago as an example of a great cover.

        I don't see the problem, by that point Ed was dead and putting out sloppy shit with the trem picking at the end of every solo and Vito Vibratto was better at Ed than Ed was. I think he's an inspiration because he came out with some of the best written guitar solos of all time. Give me his stuff any day rather than some widdly shred wank.

        I'm not sure if my YouTube is running at a different speed from the thread starter but the absolute direct Eddie rip off is at 3.09 for me with the 5 interval run down the strings.

        As Pojo says though why wouldn't you rip off Ed?
