Hell yes I'll be there! Because not only will I get to see Dave, I'll get to see my friends too! No better party than that!

    Oh dear.

My guess is Dave is now in Michael Anthony mode... dabbling in hobbies and generally sitting around the house waiting for the bat phone to ring...

We all know where that path leads...
Are you suggesting Dave will guest bass for the Waboritas???
I've got the cure you're thinkin' of.

If VH replaces Wolf with Mona, that will be the last straw.

Here's the scenario: Wolf hits up Pops for a cut of the action, he refuses, kicks him out of the house, then the sisters do an interview with Entertainment Tonight saying Wolfie's crazy and out of the band. Wolfie starts his own whip cream line and joins Steel Panther. Dave remains quiet. Then, Alexis votes himself out of the band because after all these years, he just can't take their shit anymore. Dave bangs Ed's new wife and then quits. Wolfie says fuck it and puts out a solo record with him playing every instrument and Dave on guest vocals, with a tour selling Wolfie's whip cream and Dave's art. Spam and Alex get back together and call themselves the Other Side but shit on Michael Anthony, who once again learns about the new band - and the fact that he's not in it - on Facebook. Mike says fuck it and starts a pop band with his two daughters and that Adam Lambert guy. Ed realizes the whole thing is over, moves to Denmark and cryogenically freezes himself so he can lay low for another 75 years until everyone else sees it his way and apologizes.

Van Halen releases 3 new records, a DVD, and sells out a world tour with none of the original members since Ed never got a prenup and his (new) old lady kept the rights to the name.

Even then, we all continue to log in and respond to "When will Van Halen get back together?".

Cheers. No, you can't have that seven minutes of your life back.

No way... Guest bassing for the Swatoritas, possibly!!

Give it time... Ed will find a way to blame Dave's EMT action as a loyalty dump on the band so he can justify his next lame-ass move...

I'd go see Dave without a doubt... I just don't think he's gonna make that move in this chess game he's playing with the Van Partridge family at this stage...

Right now Dave appears to be holding his high ground and operating in a purely strategic defensive mode while Edweird is honeymoonin and blaming the fans for his demons & lack of artistic output...

I am predicting a new reality tv series with Dave displaying his paramedic skills, similar to what Steven Seagal is doing on the new series Lawman.

Yeah, I'd probably go see it.

Haven't yet left a Roth solo show feeling unsatisfied.

I mean, if Van Halen Mark 4 is just gonna be sweating to the oldies, well, frankly that's just a waste of Roth and Eddie even working together; while Van Halen without Roth can't really pull off the old material since Roth is the voice of Van Halen, Roth can go out there with a competent band (as he always does), play that classic material and have it sound good.

See, every time after I saw Roth play solo, I did wonder if the results would have been any better had Eddie, Alex and Mike been there. Comparing Roth solo live in 2006 vs. Van Halen Mark 4 in 2008, while Mike wasn't there, his presence wouldn't have made the difference. The difference being that there virtually was no difference. Roth solo 2006 and Van Halen 2008 were different only in that the Van Halens were there to give the CVh tunes a stamp of authenticity by their presence, but the Roth 2006 solo band actually played the tunes better. Sad to say, but that's how it came off to me.

Plus, Dave solo means smaller venues, which generally means better sound and tickets that are reasonably priced and fairly easy to get.
