well MTV says, now thats gotta be true then. Im not saying that Jump is one of, if not the biggest songs in the VH catalog, Im just saying you can make a case for right now....but Im glad you threw MTV out there but you really should check facts before spouting your mouth off since you are incorrect. Jump is not Top 10, never was...and is not Top 20. Since you didnt look it up, i did for you and even included Rollingstone's list of top videos...
well MTV said...now it has to be true. Is MTV crap or are they now a source...and you really should look up your info as you are WRONG.
Rolling Stone: "The 100 Top Music Videos" - 1993
1 "Sledgehammer" - Peter Gabriel (1986)
2 "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana (1991)
3 "Losing My Religion" - R.E.M. (1991)
4 "This Note's For You" - Neil Young (1989)
5 "Nothing Compares 2 U" - Sinéad O'Connor (1990)
6 "Right Now" - Van Halen (1992)
7 "Subterranean Homesick Blues" - Bob Dylan (1967)
8 "Leave Me Alone" - Michael Jackson (1989)
9 "Take On Me" - a-ha (1985)
10 "Express Youself" - Madonna (1989)
...
26 "Hot For Teacher" - Van Halen (1984)
Not Listed "Jump" - Van Halen (1984)
MTV: 100 Greatest Music Videos Ever Made (compiled in 1999)
1 Thriller (16) Michael Jackson 1983
2 Vogue (28) Madonna 1990
3 Smells Like Teen Spirit (2) Nirvana 1991
4 Sledgehammer (1) Peter Gabriel 1987
5 Walk This Way (11) Run-D.M.C. & Aerosmith 1986
6 Sweet Child O' Mine Guns N' Roses 1988
7 Sabotage Beastie Boys 1994
8 Addicted To Love Robert Palmer 1986
9 California Love 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre 1996
10 Express Yourself (10) Madonna 1989
...
33 Jump Van Halen 1984
55 Just A Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody David Lee Roth 1985
61 Right Now (6) Van Halen 1992
Im not saying either is the bigger song, just you can make a case for each as I think they both are. I just left this in there even though the newer list was found than the one I originally posted...nice job ShadowLast edited by EmpyreLounge44; 06-30-2004, 03:17 PM.Comment

VIDEOS OF THE CENTURY
This is a countdown that I did not see and I'll take your word that the list is correct (Jump #38; RN #96). On every other countdown I've ever seen (and I've seen a few) Jump was always in the Top 20 and there was one in the mid 90's that had it in the top 10. They re-do these things about every 3 years with different lists. The bottom line is that everything in my post still proves that Jump is a way bigger video historically than Right Now. More popular, more important. Just like the rest of the ROTH era. And anyone who thinks that RIGHT NOW is as big as Jump (video or single) in terms of historical impact, yes you are a DUMBASS. Go up to people on the street and start asking them to name VH songs. I'll bet money if a survey could be done of a few thousand people Jump is going to come up more than ANY other song. Yet stupid people with an agenda try to say different. Van Halen's will always be remembered for what they did with DAVE first, not because he was first, but because they were at their peak in terms of SALES, POPULARITY, & CREATIVITY. All of the numbers and facts point to this. What part don't you idiots understand?DLR/VH IS JUST BETTERComment

hey DUMBASS, learn to read since I posted something that had "Right Now" much higher than "Jump" in terms of videos....my point is it is all relative. Just because you disagree doesnt make me a dumbass you stupid fuckComment

Hey until you speak TheTruthBaby I aint interested! We are all Dave fans here, some more than others some like Sam too...Some don't
Don't come in here with your high and might VH facts and then have um be wrong. Your playing with the VH BIG BOYS... and girls on this playground fella and that lil WRONG fact post was a BIG mistake that will cost ya your credibility. Your just another newbie wanting to spew off at the mouth and you blew it... Go over to VHF and start your wars over there. I can only speak for myself but your not enough of a challenge for me...Comment

EMPYRE LOUNG --YOU ARE A DUMBASS
DUDE, YOU'RE A MORON PLAIN AND SIMPLE. MTV's OWN FUCKING List has Jump WAY FUCKING AHEAD of Right Now. Like I said dipshit, go up to people on the street for the next month, ask them to name VH's biggest hit and most popluar song and video and see what answer you get the most. You just can't stand it (like other Ed/Hagar sheep) because you know everything I'm saying is right and the numbers all point to it. I think MTV knows which video is more popular and has "held up" the most. VH was simply more popular with Dave at the the helm. Their biggest song, video, and albums were with Dave. Their is no debate except from assfucks like you and you're Hagar buddies.DLR/VH IS JUST BETTERComment
