Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
Circus had decent pics, but I liked Hit Parader a bit better.
Remember Rock Scene? It was more predicated toward detailing bands from the Northeast, and usually covered some of the obscure British bands that at the time only toured on the coasts of the U.S. Lisa Robinson wrote for the magazine, one of the few women working in the field at the time. In fact, if you've ever heard the clip of Eddie Van Halen playing "Crossroads" note for note, it came from an interview with Robinson.
I do remember Rock Scene. My older brother was forever bringing home any rock mags he could get his hands on. Out of Town news and ticket agency down in Harvard Sq. had magazines for days. Plus, the import record shops had 'em too.
Cut up pages and taped/tacked them everywhere

I remember by the close of the 1980s about all I'd read rock mag-wise was Metal Hammer.
