For me, that one-two punch of Girl Gone Bad and House Of Pain is the highwater mark of the album. Always has been.

About the only tunes I listen to off of 1984 with any regularity anymore are Drop Dead Legs, Girl Gone Bad and House Of Pain.

The title track is filler - works good live as an intro to Jump, I suppose, but is uninspiring on record.

Jump I was never too crazy about to begin with, and have heard it way too many times.

      Panama is good.

Top Jimmy I'll spin once in a great while if I'm in the mood.

Hot For Teacher is killer, but I overplayed the sumbitch too much: am burnt out on it.

Have never had much use for I'll Wait.

Now the original House of Pain.... that's a much tougher call. Probably have to take that over D.O.A.

And just in case anybody reading this has never heard it (like all the sheep that have been passing through lately.....)

Stuff like this always remind me why I like classic VH. Those background vocals are KILLER!

I'm a spark on the horizon.. It's just got a heavy funk rhythm. So original.

I dig 'em both, but I love the intro and outro of House of Pain. It is a rockin' tune. House of Paaaaain
