Deadward Van Heineken hasn't given a shit about the fans since 1985! How long did it take some of you to figure that out? My thought back when I heard that Ed welcomed Dave back in and wanted to record and tour was: YOU FUCKIN BETTER!!!

Man, this is so fucking weak. Bon Jovi is #1 with their tour (gross receipts) and has a whole new generation of fans. My guys can't even put out a single new song. Not one! It is a sad waste of talent. And no way to treat fans. I am so done. Thanks for the memories.Comment

The only reason Anchovie has so many fans is that they went the celebutard route. Sambora fucking Denise Richards & Heather Locklear. Dude only cared about getting on the cover of this weeks tabloid of note. Jon went the acting route in Lifetime movies for women. Since all his 80's fans are now soccer moms, he wanted to continue to keep their panties wet.
As far as new fans, that is because they are a country band now. And a sucky one at that.

This reminds me of our foreign minister. During the Winter Olympics, the swedish prime minister tried to make fun of us by reminding our foreign minister in public about Sweden beating Finland in a group stage game the previous night. The press was around. Our foreign minister asked whether the swedish president remembers who's the captain of the swedish olympic hockey team. He didn't. Then our FM asked whether he'd remember any of the players. He didn't, just trying desperately to chuckle "but I'm sure they're great players". pwn3d

Bottom line is... EVH could care less about his fan base. He's quite content to live a privileged lifestyle off the money he's taken from them/us and be a lazy musician resting on past laurels...
In reality he, himself, knows he is incapable of delivering a top notch album. Sure, he now makes excuses like, "Why bother, people are just gonna download it for free" without realizing that it will help put asses in every seat on tour + cd sales and merch will do great on the road.. Milking the 6 pack setlist for another tour will fail and he knows this.

Dan Carcillo is a huge Van Halen fan and has seen them in concert. When Eddie Van Halen heard he was a fan, he had a pair of his signature striped sneakers shipped to him. Carcillo sent a thank package to Eddie which included a signed hockey stick that Eddie is hanging in the control room at 5150. Then, today, Carcillo received another package from the guitarist, an X-Box 360 Guitar Hero Van Halen edition.
